About
At the heart of my work is creating a safe space where people feel understood and supported as they move toward healing and growth.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years of experience, licensed in both Nevada and Idaho. I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings, including family homes, community mental health centers, and private practice. I specialize in helping clients work through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on building resilience.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Nevada, where I developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. I use approaches such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and internal family systems to guide the healing process.
Clients often share that they leave sessions feeling lighter, more grounded, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges. I create a safe space where you feel understood and supported. Together, we can strengthen your coping skills, improve relationships, and build confidence so you feel empowered to bring meaningful change into your daily life.

My approach to online therapy is nearly identical to my approach to individual therapy. My go-to approach for online therapy is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I find these beneficial because clients can see results fairly quickly and the work is tailored specifically to meet emotional needs and reduce symptoms. However, I'm also exploring internal family systems (IFS) for the recognition of facets of who we are and why we are stronger or weaker at times depending on history, environment, and personality.
I teach the following tools in online therapy:
I know that clients are making progress in online therapy when they report feeling more comfortable in managing symptoms and situations that were previously overwhelming and when they report feeling more confident and liking themselves more.
Clients can supplement time in online therapy by journaling, practicing the techniques we discuss, gently challenging themselves to move out of their comfort zones, and most of all, participating fully in creating the life they want and love.
To prepare for your first therapy session, you can create a list of your medications, write down what you hope to achieve in therapy, and what works/doesn't work for you in therapy (if you know).
With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.

A common misconception about online therapy is that only certain things can be treated this way. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Most kinds of counseling that can be provided in a physical office can also be squared away by virtual means.
Here is a list of counseling services offered virtually in Meridian:
Even if you’ve never taken part in mental health services before, we make the process easy and straightforward. When you become a Thriveworks client, you will begin working with a licensed mental health professional to sort through any mental health concerns that you might be experiencing.
Therapists often use psychotherapy, or talk therapy, as a way of connecting with clients to figure out what factors contribute to their predicament. You might discuss your childhood, your current concerns, and the people in your life. You may also be faced with questions that will give you better insight into yourself and how your outlook on life is affecting the way you feel. And of course, you will be given free rein to speak about whatever is on your mind.
If you’re ready to address your mental health concerns from the comfort of your home, online therapy services from Thriveworks can be a great place to start. We accept most major health insurance plans and offer flexible scheduling options, including hours on evenings and weekends. Plus, clients can meet with a licensed counselor within the week of scheduling.
