About
I help clients trust their inner voice and live life on purpose.
Jennifer Kubalak is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 5 years of experience working directly with children, adolescents, teens, and their families. She supports those who have lived through adverse experiences and holds the space for her clients to bloom, blossom, heal, and grow. Jenn specializes in relational challenges, life transitions, and identity development.
Jenn completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University in Boulder Colorado. Outside of therapy, movement includes volleyball, softball, and running to nurture her mind-body connection and teamwork community. Her mindfulness-based meditation practice reminds her to return to the breath and remain embodied with her life's work. Jenn utilizes multiple modalities that include a blend of emotional-focused, gestalt, internal family systems, attachment-based, somatic, and person-centered counseling techniques.
Each season of life presents expected and unexpected challenges. We all deserve to be supported with accountability through the high highs and low lows life offers without judgment. Jenn is a wonderful guide that meets you where you are through the emotional terrain that may be consciously or unconsciously showing up in your life. If Jenn sounds like a good fit, reach out to schedule with her!

Thriveworks Couples therapy helps couples work through their specific relationship issues. It is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples. Some examples of common focuses within couples therapy include:
Couples therapy works by helping couples identify and better navigate their unique challenges. Following an initial assessment of the couple in terms of strengths and needs, the therapist would then discuss their therapeutic goals and any possible approaches or ways of working together as therapist and couple.Couples attend sessions together, whether they meet in person or by video. In addition to regular couples therapy sessions, each partner may also be asked to attend a few individual sessions to supplement their progress. This will allow their counselor to get to know each individual better, assess each of their personal needs, and develop the very best treatment plan moving forward.
Couples therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and via Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend couples therapy for 12 weeks. However, couples therapy may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress.
You are two different people with varying personalities and perspectives who are trying to share the one life each of you has, so you won’t always feel like you’re on the same page. Even when everything seems great in your relationship, there are still opportunities for the both of you to take an active role in building your connection and deepening intimacy.
As a couple, the two of you have a limited perspective on what works and what doesn’t work, in terms of relationship building and conflict resolution go. At Thriveworks Westminster Couples Counseling, however, we have worked with individuals and couples of all kinds and, therefore, have a broad knowledge base that we can draw from when seeking therapy methods to fit your unique needs. Reach out today for help.
The way things are between you and your significant other — good or bad — are not the way they will be forever. Your lives and the world around you are changing with each moment, and so one of the “secrets” to healthy relationships is being open with each other about those changes, and how they affect each of you individually and in relation to one another. Thriveworks Westminster Couples Counseling, then, exists to help all couples navigate those conversations and transitions in a way that is rooted in mutual benefit and 100 percent transparency.
A misconception out there is that couples counseling (or mental health therapy of any kind) is meant for only “other people” who have “serious problems.” It’s easy for us to minimize our own experiences and eschew help, simply because we believe that if we enter into counseling, we are acknowledging that the relationship is dangerously out of our control. If we don’t get help, maybe our problems are small enough that we can handle them ourselves.
Our caring, qualified couples counselors are here to help you make progress, not to keep going about business as usual when the paths to mutual respect and deepening intimacy are available. Perhaps you’re not moving forward because you don’t know how to move forward. Let us show you the way. It’s more possible than you think.
If your relationship is in a tough spot, there is still hope that you can make it better. If your relationship is already in pretty good shape, we can help you make it great.
Helping a relationship flourish may look different from couple to couple, but a Thriveworks Westminster counselor can help you learn how to:
