While in school, he lead and developed, “How to Counsel the Black Family.” He also trained for seven years in working with individuals that were charged with DUI in Ohio. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2010. While in Atlanta, he worked with several core agencies and private businesses throughout Georgia. In 2012, he received his certification in Rational Living Therapy, and is a state certified professional counselor supervisor. He served as President of the Licensed Professional Counseling Association of Georgia from 2016 through 2018. Darrell’s transition from non-profit management and the political arena to counseling was driven by his passion for developing mental toughness and helping others reach their full potential.
