About
I have been privileged to have walked with people in the most difficult times in their lives for the last 14 years.
Sarah Olson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience helping infants, toddlers, children, teens, and adults who are faced with anxiety, depression, anger, poor coping skills, and family conflict issues.
Sarah received her Master's degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and is classically trained at the Master’s level in cognitive behavior therapy and solutions-focused therapy. She helps clients to explore behavior patterns that may have been caused by past events. Sarah believes that being honest about how you feel is the most effective way to move forward in getting to where you want to go in life.
Sarah likes to think that speaking with her is like speaking with a best friend that is able to really hear what you are experiencing. Expect every moment we are interacting to be all about you. Nothing is more important to her than making you feel truly heard.
If you are ready to explore what things need to change in your life to reach your picture of peace and happiness, Sarah is ready to speak with you. You deserve the life you want!

We offer online therapy to help provide needed services and support for numerous clients who are unable to attend therapy in-office due to time, child care, transportation, or location limitations. We enjoy the opportunity to provide services to clients that we know would be unable to engage in services otherwise or who simply enjoy the convenience and accessibility of online therapy.
We teach all of the same tools in online therapy as we do in in-person therapy, with only a few limitations related to EMDR and safety concerns, which would require in-person sessions.
I know a client is making meaningful progress in online therapy when they are engaged in the process and applying the skills we learn during online therapy into practice outside of therapy sessions.
The best supplemental work a client can do alongside their online therapy is to communicate their goals for therapy and take some time to think about what they want to address in each therapy session prior to engaging online. Unlike a client who is driving into the office for in-person sessions, an online client won't have a 20-30 minute drive beforehand to reflect and identify these areas of focus prior to a session.
To prepare for your first online therapy session, you can make sure that your Zoom software is updated, your internet connection is stable, and that you have a quiet and private space available to you in which you feel comfortable conducting a therapy session.
With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
