What Could Life Look Like During & After Therapy?

The good news is that therapy and counseling are not only about working through problems. In many ways, it is not about life’s problems at all. The ultimate goal, actually, is proactively building a healthy, happy life.

Therapy often begins with a person who needs help during a specific challenge or for a specific problem. But in the process, many people find improved overall mental health and well-being. By attending to their minds and emotions with the help of a mental health professional, people often experience overall improved mental health.

As their mental health improves, many clients at Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Cedar Park have experienced:

  • Reduced anxiety
  • More self-esteem
  • A greater sense of life-purpose
  • Increased ability to focus on their life’s goals
  • More sleep
  • Alleviated mental health disorders and symptoms
  • Better interpersonal skills

What Are the Benefits of Online Therapy and In-Person Therapy?

The benefits of online therapy include:

  • Convenience and accessibility from anywhere
  • Reduced travel time and costs
  • Comfortable and familiar environment
  • A wider selection of therapists to choose from

The benefits of in-person therapy include:

  • Face-to-face interaction and non-verbal cues
  • No reliance on internet connection or technology
  • Privacy and confidentiality in a physical office

  • Overwhelming feelings of guilt, shame, or worthlessness

Don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our providers if you’re feeling any of these symptoms.

What Should I Do If a Loved One Needs Help?

If you have a loved one who is in need of mental health services, you can help them by attempting to:

  • Communicate openly and non-judgmentally
