With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
When you think about scheduling an appointment or attending an appointment, do you think comfort and convenience? Probably not. Many people feel like going to the doctor’s office or another office for a given appointment is inconvenient and certainly not the most comfortable. Fortunately, there are now virtual options that enable individuals to speak with a medical professional about concerns and treatment online.
This is true for online counseling, too. In fact, telehealth sessions for counseling are growing increasingly popular. While some are hesitant about making the switch from in-person to online counseling services, many find that these virtual sessions allow for both progress and flexibility.
If you’ve ever considered talking to a counselor but you were deterred by the inconvenience, the lack of comfort, or another obstacle, consider trying online therapy. Thriveworks Counseling in Chattanooga, TN can set you up with an online counselor who would be happy to work with you over the phone or video chat. Call us today to set up your telephone or video session with a skilled, caring mental health provider.
We have two main virtual counseling options here at Thriveworks: telephone and video counseling. Both of these options allow you to work one-on-one with a counselor in a safe, secure space.
Telephone counseling is perhaps the most flexible of the two online counseling options. It also offers greater anonymity, which makes it a great option for people who are feeling nervous about meeting with their therapist or those who would like to keep a low profile. Video counseling, on the other hand, is also a valuable option. This option offers the closest feel to an in-person counseling session without actually going into the office for your session, which is preferred by many.
Do either of these options stick out to you as the most viable or preferred option? If not, don’t worry. We welcome our clients to try out both telephone and video counseling sessions. Then, they can choose to move forward with either telephone or video counseling.
Online therapy can help people with a wide variety of mental health issues. Mental health issues include any challenge that negatively affects one’s mental health and wellbeing. Some of the most common mental health issues are…
If you’re experiencing any of these issues, both in-person and online counseling can prove beneficial. However, if you’re looking for a more convenient or comfortable option, consider giving online counseling a try.
We can help individuals, couples, and families in online therapy. This often enables couples and families to attend counseling with greater ease, as it offers greater flexibility with scheduling and attending an appointment.
Are you interested in scheduling your online therapy appointment at Thriveworks in Chattanooga? Would you like to talk to us more about what this entails? We’re an open book. And we have a scheduling team on staff who is here to answer any questions that you might have.
