About
As an African American male who has personally experienced ADHD and anxiety, I understand how stress can make tasks feel overwhelming. I take a laid back, nonjudgmental approach to create a safe space for clients, making it easier to discuss challenges.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and Texas with 9 years of experience. Since 2016, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals in navigating anxiety, self-esteem, depression, life transitions, focus issues, and overcoming challenges. My approach is centered on helping clients shift thought patterns to create healthier perspectives, and I work to provide a professional yet welcoming environment where people feel heard, understood, and supported. I aim to help reduce anxiety and depression, while empowering clients to overcome obstacles and build resilience for long-term growth and positive change.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to guide clients in addressing challenges with new perspectives. By focusing on skills such as self-reflection and positive affirmations.
I understand firsthand how difficult mental health struggles can be, and I bring that insight into my work with every client. My goal is always to listen with compassion, meet clients where they are, and offer personalized support that addresses their unique needs and lived experiences, helping them move forward with confidence.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 13 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. I focus on trauma and grief therapy, as well as helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. Many people I work with seek a safe place to process their emotions, find direction, and build resilience.
I hold a Master’s in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin Simmons University. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, often incorporating evidence-based practices such as logotherapy, mindfulness, and equine therapy. I tailor care to each person’s unique needs and goals.
I know reaching out for support takes courage, and I want you to know that you do not have to face life’s challenges alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood as you work toward healing and growth. I would be honored to walk alongside you in this journey.

Anxiety therapy helps people better understand and manage their anxiety. Anxiety therapists at Thriveworks in Georgetown, TX can develop a treatment plan that will help you better manage your day-to-day anxiety or your anxiety disorder.
Anxiety therapy involves talking to a therapist about symptoms, potential causes, and more. Thriveworks Georgetown therapists will then work with you to determine where your anxiety might stem from and teach you effective coping mechanisms.
One of the best ways to deal with anxiety is to learn about your own anxiety: your symptoms, what triggers it, and what coping mechanisms have been effective in the past. When you learn what your anxiety is tied to, it can help you be mindful of what’s really happening as well as prevent and mitigate symptoms by processing and working through the issue in therapy. Other strategies that have been shown to help manage anxiety are meditation, challenging anxious thoughts, exercising, and journaling.
Common symptoms of anxiety include:
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be incredibly effective in treating anxiety and anxiety disorders. Other effective techniques include exposure therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and EMDR therapy.
Anxiety therapy is conducted both in person and online, depending on the individual’s preferences and their therapist’s availability. We suggest choosing the option that best suits your needs.
On average, people can tend to attend 15 to 20 session of anxiety therapy (five or more months). However, this number is heavily dependent on the type of anxiety that’s being treated and its severity, with many choosing to attend anxiety therapy for a longer period of time to ensure its effectiveness long-term.
Yes, it is worth going to therapy for anxiety. If you are struggling with regular anxious thoughts and feelings that are affecting your day-to-day life or you suspect that you have an anxiety disorder, you should seek expert anxiety help.

Talking to a therapist or counselor about your anxiety is a great way to reduce the emotional weight of your mental health challenges. Our therapists and counselors will listen and do their best to offer you coping strategies that target your anxiety and serve to help you control your emotions. Some of their techniques may include:
Talking to a therapist or counselor is often beneficial for many people, but for some with more intense or persistent anxiety, our psychiatric nurse practitioners (NPs) may be preferred.
Psychiatrists are licensed providers who are also medical doctors, while psychiatric nurse practitioners are skilled professionals who can assist our clients. With helpful prescription medication, psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners are aptly equipped to diagnose and treat complicated disorders that affect the emotions and behavior of those who are suffering from anxiety.
While not every person will need a prescription, those who do can receive them discreetly with our online psychiatry option. Online psychiatry is a great way to cut back on the time it takes to travel to a brick-and-mortar office for treatment.
