My preferred resource for treating anxiety is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), considered the gold standard for treating anxiety. I find that it helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to their anxiety.

I use:·Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): CBT is a cornerstone of depression treatment. I work with clients to identify negative thought patterns and cognitive distortions contributing to their depression. Through cognitive restructuring, clients learn to challenge and reframe negative thoughts, replacing them with more balanced and realistic perspectives.·Motivational interviewing (MI): MI can help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change, increase motivation for positive behavior change, and enhance engagement in treatment.

I remind my clients that seeking therapy is a positive step toward improving their mental health, and it's okay to feel nervous or unsure at first. Be patient with yourself as you navigate the therapy process and trust that progress is possible with time and effort.
Preparing ahead of time for therapy for depression can help you make the most of your treatment experience. I would suggest that you:
