About
As a single mother and someone who has overcome traumatic events, I have the personal insight needed to face those life challenges that often result in hope, resiliency, and acceptance, creating a life worth living.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 16 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. I am deeply passionate about helping clients work through anxiety, depression, anger management, PTSD, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices to ensure each client feels heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Chicago State University, where I focused on working with families and individuals. My approach integrates mindfulness, meditation, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy to promote growth and resilience.
Clients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel supported and encouraged throughout their healing journey. I believe in listening without judgment, offering positive feedback when needed, and helping clients find balance and self-acceptance. Let’s start your path to healing together.

Yes, we offer comprehensive psychiatric services to meet your mental health needs.
Psychiatry allows people struggling to manage mental conditions or disorders to get access to medications that will make daily functioning easier, as well as work through any mental factors that might be causing or worsening their condition. Though medications can’t cure mental disorders, medication can make symptoms more manageable, making the process of psychotherapeutic treatment easier and more effective. Psychiatric care can be available through in-person psychiatry and online psychiatry, depending on where you live and your own preferences. However, psychiatric providers at Thriveworks in Evergreen Park, IL specifically offer online psychiatry to their clients.
A therapist has an education specifically rooted in therapeutic practice, approaches, techniques, and treatment. They cannot prescribe medications for clients, though they often refer clients to psychiatrists for medication management. Psychiatrists are medically trained doctors who specialize in mental health treatment, mainly through medication management and prescription, though they can also practice therapy.
A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a highly trained and licensed professional who specializes in mental health care. They are qualified to diagnose and treat mental health conditions, prescribe medications, and provide therapy. Psychiatric NPs at Thriveworks are qualified to prescribe medications for a variety of mental health conditions. They work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.
Oftentimes, psychiatrists or psychiatric professionals will perform a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which involves an in-depth discussion about your symptoms, medical history, and current medications. Once they reach a diagnosis, they may suggest starting certain medications depending on your condition and the intensity of your symptoms.
