About
By examining how we view and experience relationships, I have recognized that many difficulties stem from early upbringing. I seek to help others build more meaningful relationships.

Yes, there are therapists who help with anger via Anger management therapy. It’s a therapeutic process that an individual goes through to manage their anger and identify its triggers. They’re given clear instructions on how to improve their angry behavior as well as a safe space for opening up about their emotions.
Once an individual’s triggers are identified, anger management therapy focuses on helping the individual process and respond to these emotions in a more positive and productive manner. The anger management therapist will provide coping strategies and ultimately help their client take back control of their anger.
The five keys to mastering anger include identifying triggers, pausing before reacting, calmly expressing emotions, discovering constructive outlets for frustration, and seeking professional assistance if necessary. Acquiring these skills through Anger management therapy empowers individuals to effectively manage and navigate their anger.
The best therapy for anger management often involves cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps individuals identify and change patterns of thinking and behavior related to anger.
Anger management therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Often, Anger management therapy lasts between 4-6 weeks. However, it can last longer, dependent on the individual’s needs.
On the surface, there’s nothing unhealthy about anger – it’s simply an emotion. The problem arises when people are unable to control their anger or when their anger leads to destruction. Many people who deal with these issues believe that there’s nothing that can be done. The truth is that anger counseling can be the answer they’re seeking.
Anger is just an emotion. Sometimes it’s nothing more than mild irritation and in other cases, it leads to intense rage. It results in changes both biological and physiological, such as heart rate and blood pressure increases. It’s caused by issues both inside a person and outside in their world. It can be directed at something specific or come from unidentified issues. Memories are also a common cause for people to become angry.
Everyone experiences anger and it’s not always a problem – unless it gets out of hand. An anger counselor can assess clients to measure their intensity of anger, how they handle their anger, and how often they experience anger. People who’ve felt out of control of their anger or frightened by it can seek help to get it under control. Reach out to Thriveworks Westminster today to schedule.
Every client’s experience will be different because everyone’s needs are different. However, some general goals include teaching clients how to recognize their triggers and respond to them in a healthy way, helping clients change the way they think about and react to these triggers, and coming up with problem-solving techniques that empower clients to be assertive when necessary without experiencing intense anger or rage.
When a client is in counseling, they’ll get one-on-one attention from a counselor who can help them find the unique answers to their anger questions. Together clients and their counselors build long-term solutions for the issues that have been causing chaos for years. Thriveworks Westminster Counseling & Coaching provides this personal touch so that clients can learn how to experience anger in a healthy way.
