About
I strive to create a warm, judgment-free space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to build insight and emotional balance.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. I specialize in supporting patients managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma-related stress, and life transitions that affect daily functioning and relationships. My goal is to meet patients where they are, whether beginning treatment, seeking stability, or pursuing growth, by creating a safe, collaborative space rooted in empathy, trust, and understanding.
I earned my Doctorate in Nursing from Wilmington University. My approach combines medication management with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy. I tailor each plan to individual goals and needs, helping clients build resilience, balance, and emotional regulation through compassionate and holistic care.
I believe healing begins with empathy, collaboration, and self-discovery. My role is to help you find strength and clarity through understanding, patience, and hope. Whether you’re managing ongoing symptoms, facing new challenges, or rebuilding confidence, I’m committed to supporting your journey toward lasting emotional stability and overall well-being.

I have been on my own journey, as a woman of color, to discover and accept the Who of who I am, and not just accept the expectations and beliefs of who I should be based on the context of my gender and racial identities, my family, my cultural traditions, and general societal pressures. Therefore, I respect the journey of others.
I am a Licensed Psychologist with 32 years of experience. I have worked in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, correctional facilities, and private practice. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions, trauma, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. In my remote work, I enjoy supporting individuals (late teens to adults), couples, and families.
I earned my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, with influences from internal family systems and mindfulness. I create a compassionate and active environment where clients feel supported yet gently challenged toward growth.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming yet hopeful. Every person’s story is unique, and I aim to make the process comfortable, collaborative, and empowering. My goal is to help clients navigate challenges with confidence and clarity. I would be honored to partner with you on your healing journey.

With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
