I aim to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their emotions, build coping skills, and move toward emotional balance and self-empowerment.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. My approach incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients identify patterns, regulate emotions, and develop healthier coping strategies.
I bring empathy, patience, and genuine understanding to every session. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience happiness and fulfillment. Together, we’ll work toward developing the tools and mindset needed to overcome challenges and create lasting positive change.

As someone who has experienced mental health struggles in my own life, I understand the need for support and empathy during life's challenges.
I have over 10 years of experience in the field of social work. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings with teens, families, individuals, and older adults. My background includes experience in behavioral intervention, family therapy, mental health support, substance use treatment, and hospice care—where I had the honor of supporting individuals and families through grief and end-of-life transitions.
I received my Master's degree from East Tennessee State University and have been dedicated to learning new ways to support mental health. I tailor my approach to meet each client where they are, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities including Person Centered, Humanistic, and Existential theories, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic practices.
We all need support during life's challenges. I bring a calm and warm presence to my sessions, creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported. Whether you're navigating loss, processing trauma, or simply seeking a more grounded sense of self, I am here to walk with you in that process.

As children and adolescents grow, they go through many stages to develop the social skills and emotional maturity needed to lead healthy and happy lives. The difficulties, responsibilities, struggles and moods that accompany growing up and maturing may be fairly easy for some children to deal with, but others struggle with some of these changes.
Sometimes it can be difficult for parents and caregivers to recognize whether a change is caused by the normal challenges in child development or if certain signs and symptoms represent something that is significantly interfering with their child’s happiness and functioning in the family, at school or with their social network. Many children are unable to communicate what they are feeling—or won’t talk to an adult about their problems. It can be disheartening for parents and caregivers to feel something is wrong but not know how to help, watching their children suffer through the many thoughts, feelings and emotions they are going through.
Whether you, a teacher or your child feels it is time to talk with a therapist or a counselor about an issue or concern, choose Thriveworks in Johnson City, TN Child and Adolescent Therapy/Counseling.
